ASICS X EL PASO MARATHON

This project started with my work for RunForIt, El Paso’s rapidly growing run club, which I collaborated with during the Mercedes-Benz 5K. After designing race shirts that were well received, I was introduced to Chris from ASICS through Freddy and Thomas, the founders of RunForIt.

As RunForIt took on a key role in organizing the El Paso Marathon, ASICS reached out to be part of the event, just as they had done for the Houston and Austin marathons. For these races, ASICS had previously partnered with local artists to create city-inspired designs, used in live heat press activations for shirts and singlets. When they needed an artist to capture the spirit of El Paso and its running community, my name was thrown into the mix.

The goal was to design bold, dynamic graphics that embodied El Paso’s culture, running heritage, and ASICS’ brand identity, while also including subtle RunForIt Easter eggs. This project was about more than just creating visuals it was about celebrating movement, community, and the unique energy of running in the Sun City.
